The most interesting part from this study is that I learned how to roughly sketches faster and faster, while the first sketches were pretty much contained a lot of hesitation in the lines and worries about to get the right postures as seen from the sketch below.
The more time I have to spend on the sketches, they will come out with more details and through this I learned not to use hard outlines, so that I can add more details.
The difficult part of studying the muscle is to actually use the tablet instead of normal pencil I usually used. It is harder to control and I have some struggle with getting the hand right, especially in this one. For this particular drawing, I struggle through the muscles in the back and the leg that stretches out as there is some foreshortening and also the fingers on the left hand, but once I got the arm proportion right the hand becomes easier to draw.
I am most satisfied with these sketches in particular because I think I captured the posture most accurate and the proportion were almost correct as well.
From all to all, I think this independent study helped me out in term of increasing my drawing speed and help me understand how to draw poses more efficiently. It was also a fun project for me to spent my 10 - 20 minutes to quickly sketches and observe people around me in order to find the poses that I want to draw. Sometimes, the interesting poses disappear too soon and I have to restart all over again, but through that I learned to sketches faster and be as rough as I possibly can.
